The Tree of Life - The Life of Our Tree
The first year students of Saint Emeric Catholic Primary School in Zsombó were all glad to participate in this initiation on 9th May. We would like to establish a tradition in our school:
planting a tree symbolizes the arrival of our first graders who put their roots down in our school as well as in Europe as young European citizens. It is also important for us to promote
sustainable development.
We decided to plant an Indian bean tree which has heart-shaped leaves and wonderful white flowers. Hopefully, we might remember our primary school memories under this tree 8 years later, when we leave this school. Our first graders even wrote a short poem.
